About our Albuquerque, NM Swim School

SwimWorks Swim School Albuquerque is the new name for the swim school Northeast Albuquerque families have known since 2020 as SwimLabs Albuquerque. While our name has changed, our ownership, commitment to excellence, and our welcoming, family-run culture remain unwavering.

Led by our experienced General Manager, Josh Bowen—who has been part of our SwimLabs/SwimWorks family since 2021—our Albuquerque facility proudly serves children, families, and athletes throughout the Northeast Heights community.

Our year-round, indoor, warm-water facility has helped thousands of children learn to swim—babies, toddlers, and young swimmers of every age and personality. Whether a child arrives eager and excited or shy and fearful of the water, our caring instructors, private lessons, and small group classes with a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio - help our swimmers  feel safe, supported, and ready to progress. We take pride in fostering a love of swimming, building strong water safety skills, and helping every child develop confidence, joy, and lasting success in the water.

We also serve competitive swimmers across New Mexico—including club team and high school swimmers, summer-league athletes, triathletes, masters swimmers, and more. Our Albuquerque location is home to the only facility in the entire state offering 360-degree Video Stroke Analysis with our current-driven tanks—allowing athletes instant visual feedback to analyze their technique, correct inefficiencies, and train with a level of precision they cannot find anywhere else in New Mexico.

Our team takes pride in knowing our swimmers and families by name, celebrating progress, and building trusted relationships. With a comfortable lobby, shower facilities, and a complimentary coffee bar, we've created a warm and welcoming space where families feel at home. We are honored to serve the Albuquerque community and grateful for the many families and athletes who choose us year after year.

Savanna Jones

With SwimLabs/SwimWorks Since July 2023

  • Savanna Jones joined SwimLabs/SwimWorks in July 2023 and has quickly become an integral part of the Albuquerque leadership team. She began her journey with SwimWorks as one of the location’s top swim instructors and was soon promoted to Deck Supervisor, where her leadership abilities and attention to detail stood out immediately.

In her role as Deck Supervisor, Savanna was responsible for assessing swimmer progressions, evaluating instructors for instructional quality and consistency, and working closely with families to provide clear, ongoing communication about their children’s development in the water. Her professionalism, strong organizational skills, and natural ability to connect with both staff and parents led to her promotion to Customer Service Manager, where she now oversees the family experience from enrollment through ongoing participation.

Swimming has been a central part of Savanna’s life from an early age. She began competitive swimming at just six years old and continued through high school, competing in both summer league and year-round club swimming. She swam for the Riverpoint Piranhas and the Vipers of Albuquerque, earning numerous medals and awards throughout her career. Her competitive experiences included travel meets and medaling at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Savanna specialized in the 50-meter Butterfly and the 100-meter Individual Medley and lettered in swimming, competing at the state level as a freshman.

In addition to swimming, Savanna competed in water polo with Duke City Aquatics and her high school team, the Cibola Cougars, where she helped lead the team to a State Championship. After concluding her competitive swimming career, she returned to the sport as a swim coach for the Riverpoint Piranhas, further strengthening her experience working with young athletes.

With an extensive background in aquatics and youth development, Savanna’s two greatest passions—children and the water—made SwimLabs/SwimWorks feel like home from the very beginning. She loves building relationships with families and takes great pride in supporting each child’s swimming journey as they gain confidence, develop skills, and reach new milestones.
