About our Encinitas, Ca Swim School

SwimWorks Swim School represents the next chapter for the swim school North County families have known as SwimLabs Encinitas since 2013. While our name has changed, our ownership, values, and commitment to excellence have not. As an independent, family-run swim school, we rebranded to better reflect our identity and the high standard of instruction we deliver to swimmers of every age and ability.

Founded and operated by Mason and Christine Bailey, our Encinitas location has worked with thousands of children, competitive swimmers, water polo players, triathletes, master swimmers, and Olympians. Mason’s elite-level coaching—shaped by a lifetime in the sport, ASU collegiate experience, and continued success in open-water races around the world—has earned him a reputation as one of the region’s most sought-after technique coaches.

Our unique, state-of-the-art facility has made us the trusted choice for families seeking a year-round indoor swim school where all kinds of children thrive—especially those who may be hesitant or fearful of the water. Children love our warm-water tanks because they provide a calm, low-stimulation setting - helping even nervous swimmers feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. And while the environment is gentler, the experience is anything but limited: our current-driven tanks allow swimmers to practice full swimming strokes, build endurance, and develop strong technique in a controlled, highly effective setting. Many families choose us—and stay with us—because they see remarkable progress and feel the genuine care behind everything we do.

Our Encinitas team is a close-knit family that takes pride in knowing every swimmer and parent by name. Families also enjoy our comfortable lobby, complete with a fun play area featuring a Lego and train table for siblings, as well as a complimentary coffee bar to make your visit enjoyable. We’re honored to be part of the North County community and grateful for the thousands of families who have trusted us to teach water safety, build confidence, and develop exceptional swimming technique
